DTG is also a great option for lower quantity, quick-turn around orders. This print technique is great for full-color artwork and delivers amazing detail. You can even have your favorite photographs printed on shirts and other apparel. DTG orders can also be turned around in 1 day if the blank garments are on hand at Squid Ink.
Screen Printing | 35-1000+ Units | 2-3 Weeks
Screen Printing is a method that involves pushing ink through stencils that are supported by a porous fabric mesh stretched across a frame called a screen. Screen printing requires quite a bit of pre-work, with the artwork requiring separation for each ink color to be used, threading of the garments onto palettes, and ultimately a person or machine pulling ink across the screen to lay the ink colors on to the garment. Screen printing is not suitable for small quantity orders because of the setup, labor and cost involved. Screen Printing is the oldest method used for decorating garments and has many different options for specialty effects. Talk to us about options and we will find the best one for your order.
Spot & Full Dye Sublimation | 6-100+ Units | 1-5 Weeks
Dye Sublimation allows you to print vibrant full color artwork on polyester and polyester blend garments. Your full color artwork is pressed on to garments with a heat press, turning the inks into a gas that permeates the fabric and then solidifies into its fibers. The fabric is permanently dyed so it can be washed without damaging the quality of the image. Your artwork will never fade, and you can not feel the inks on the garment as the print is now part of the garment. Sublimated jerseys and uniforms are extremely popular for sports teams as polyester feels light on the body and has great moisture wicking properties.
The Spot Dye process is used with existing garments like shirts, shorts, hoodies and even socks, that have already been sewn together. We offer a print size of 10.5 X 16.5, large enough to cover the entire front or back of a t-shirt. Because existing garments are used, orders can be completed within 1-2 weeks.
For Full Dye, the components of a garment are sublimated with the all over design artwork onto rolls of white polyester fabric. The components are then cut and sewn together to complete the garment. Full Dye orders can be completed within 3-5 weeks depending on the time of the year and size of the order.
